Project Overview
BLAIRS MURAL FESTIVAL
The Tower Companies held an open call for submissions from artists in 2020. With an expert panel of judges, 94 submissions were reviewed, and 9 artists were chosen to participate in the first ever Blairs Mural Festival.
These artists are currently working to create unique, location-specific pieces of art across The Blairs District.
We are featuring artists that are inspired and connected to our purposes and goals, and can help us bring life to each goal with inspiring and modern art throughout the district.
The Tower Companies has a vision to create a unique art experience throughout The Blairs District as a way to connect the local community and the residents of The District through outdoor spaces designed to stimulate sense, improve energy, and optimize potential engagement.
The Blairs District Mural Festival will help residents, business owners, and community leaders bond together in support of a unified, strong community in Silver Spring.
The Blairs Mural Festival is the opportunity for artists to participate in creating unique public-facing murals, sculptures and educational exhibitions that will express the core mission and vision of The Tower Companies and The Blairs District.
